Telkom Indonesia Collaborate with Microsoft to Accelerate Digital Transformation in the Country

JAKARTA - Indonesia's telecommunication company, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) signed a memorandum of understanding with PT Microsoft Indonesia to explore cooperation in accelerating the process of transformation and digital sovereignty in Indonesia.

Telkom's VP Investor Relations, Andi Setiawan, stated that this collaboration will be carried out in a number of fields, such as the development of intelligent infrastructure, digital talent development, and acceleration of the Telkom Group's digital transformation.

"Currently Telkom is transforming into a leading digital telecommunications company (digital telco)," he said through the information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Wednesday, August 19, 2021.

Andi said that cooperation and collaboration with the world's technology giants is one of Telkom's strategies, which is expected to accelerate the digital transformation process, as well as support the empowerment of Indonesia's digital economy.

"The impact of this collaboration will strengthen Telkom's competence and capability in providing various digital services, digital platforms, and digital connectivity," he added.

As is known, Telkom is a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) that focuses on three digital business domains, namely connectivity, platforms, and digital services. Currently, Telkom's shares are listed on the IDX with the code TLKM and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) with the ticker TLK.
